Caught the Sour
4th Nov, 2025
And finally, I tried those light-roast beans from Goa! They are soo good! I could brew my first sour cup with them.
Here's the recipe I used:
- Coffee : water - 19 g : 305 ml
- Grind size - 4
- Water temp - 80 °C
- Agitation - 15 sec
- Brew time - 60 sec
The cup was light, bright, and beautifully sour with zero bitterness. Just pure, crisp acidity.
I've been chasing that sour flavor this whole time, but the dark-roast beans just wouldn't get me there. And with these light-roast beans? Mission accomplished!
And honestly, I'm loving it way more than I expected. I think I might be turning into a sour coffee person!
Tomorrow, I'm gonna mix both the light and dark roast beans together to see what happens. Could be amazing, could be weird. Either way, you can find out here.
